Sheila Darkwa
Managing Partner
As the founder of the Firm, Sheila is a seasoned lawyer with over 21 years of extensive experience in the corporate & commercial, financial and power sectors. She is the team leader for the Firm’s Corporate & Commercial Team.
Sheila has successfully represented various local and international clients in negotiating, drafting and concluding contracts in the power sector (generation and distribution) in Ghana with the Ministry of Energy and the Electricity Company of Ghana.
Her long years of legal experience and representation on several boards within the power, pharmaceutical, natural resources, and real estate sectors, brings a unique commercial perspective to her corporate practice and representation of the Firm’s corporate clients.
She was a senior associate with Minka-Premo & Co responsible for the Firm’s Credit and Recoveries Department where she excelled in leading the team in many successful recoveries for financial institutions in particular.
Sheila is a member of the Ghana Bar Association Committee for Women and Minors’ Rights; her passion for charity work has led to her establishment of an NGO focused on child education and women upliftment known as the Helena Quist Memorial Foundation.

Samuel Quansah Ansah
Group Partner
Samuel is a Group Partner of the Firm with over 13 years of experience in litigation having practised in all levels of the Superior Courts of Ghana. Before joining the Firm, Samuel served as a senior associate at Zoe, Akyea & Co.
His tenacity and attention to detail have culminated in successful outcomes for cases that he has litigated. His areas of expertise include corporate & commercial dispute resolution, where he has represented corporate clients operating in various industries, including banking, manufacturing and energy. His litigation experience also covers areas such as Debt Recovery, Property Law, Intellectual Property, Tax & Securities, Maritime Law, Corporate Law and Criminal Defence.
Samuel holds a Master of Laws degree in International Business from the Osgoode Hall Law School of York University in Canada. He has a wealth of experience in corporate and commercial transactional disputes. He is the leader of the Firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution team.
Samuel is an ardent supporter of Arsenal Football Club. His interests include travelling, music and dancing.

Emily K. Mettle-Nunoo
Junior Associate
Emily’s areas of interest include Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR), Company & Commercial law, Civil Litigation and Labour law. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Ghana Chapter and a member of the Liaison Committee of the Chapter.
Before Emily’s call to the bar, she worked as a Paralegal with the law firm of Zoe, Akyea & Co for which she is adept at legal research and drafting. She is keen on breaking into the International Arbitration space.
Emily loves cooking and listening to music.

Sarah Maanaa Ansah
Junior Associate
Sarah specializes in Company Secretarial Services and Intellectual Property Law. She is dedicated to helping clients protect their creative and commercial assets, navigating the complexities of intellectual property regulation and compliance, with diligence and attention to detail.
Beyond her legal work, Maanaa enjoys building meaningful relationships through quality time with friends and mentoring children. With a background in Psychology and Linguistics, she holds an LLB from GIMPA and is a graduate of the Ghana School of Law’s Professional Law Course, where she served as Vice President of the Students’ Representative Council, showcasing her leadership skills and advocacy dedication.

Beatrice Dakwa
Head, General Services & Regulatory Dept.
Beatrice heads up the Firm’s General Services and Regulatory Department, which is responsible for company secretarial services, licensing, permit acquisition, land registration and securitization.
Before joining the Firm in 2012, she worked with Dehands Services Limited, where she excelled in the provision of company secretarial services, the key focus of that company.
She has over 11 years of extensive experience in all company compliance-related and regulatory services. Beatrice is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws Degree.
